Software Engineering

Automobiles are becoming more and more reliant on software every year, and modern JLR vehicles feature the most advanced technology in the industry. Before drivers get in our cars, software identifies their key fob and unlocks the vehicle. As a result, our DPP team uses iterative and concurrent engineering approaches to deliver real innovation, harnessing a wealth of techniques including model-based software development and directly writing code. From day to day, you could find yourself working on projects to lock and unlock a car via a mobile app, requiring the Internet of Things (IoT) and data engineering to harvest the required data, software engineering to build the apps, and infrastructure engineering to manage the cloud on which it all runs.

Over the course of this programme, you will develop expertise in a range of best-in-class technologies and frameworks such as Java, Node, Kubernetes, Serverless, Spring Boot, Flink, Kafka, React, Android and IOS modern development methodologies, software best practices, DevOps and testing, collaboration, and technical design and architecture.
