12 month Placement - Merchandising

We’re committed to supporting those at the start of their career in Fashion and our 12 month Merchandising placement offers you the chance to support the Supply Merchandising Team in the delivery of the right products, at the right time in order to maximise availability. You’ll drive timely and accurate actions to effectively manage stock flow through the supply chain from purchase order creation to delivery to distribution.

The Role

Each day is different, you’re continuously faced with new and exciting challenges, giving you the opportunity to develop and progress on your placement, and gaining knowledge to help in your future Merchandising career.

As a Merchandising Placement Student, you’ll regularly analyse and act on key business information, you’ll report and promote good housekeeping and data maintenance across your department, ensuring all information is fully up to date and accurate at all times.

You’ll also prepare effectively for Monday Trade meetings, understanding departments Best & Worst sellers by channel and key actions to drive potential sales.

You'll liaise with the Purchasing teams to ensure timely creation of all new or repeat purchase orders on internal software and will work with the Merchandise Planning teams to amend volumes and phasing of intake on PO's where necessary.

What we are looking for

To find the best students for our Merchandising teams, we’d like you to have the following...

• Currently a 2nd-year student, ideally studying a business-related course that requires you to complete a 12-month placement. Start date – July 2024.
• Retail work experience would be advantageous
• Ability to work independently and manage own workload
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels
• Self-motivated and committed to developing your skills
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
