Postgraduate Teaching Apprenticeship (Secondary)
Entry requirements
A good honours degree or equivalent in a relevant subject. A minimum of 2:1 is desirable although applicants with other qualifications or valuable experience will also be considered. All shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an interview. All offers are subject to Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance and Occupational Health clearance.
Applicants whose first language is not English, and who do not have GCSE English language at grade C (Grade 4) or above, require English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 with no component less than 6.0.

Overview
Get qualified as a teacher while you teach on this apprenticeship scheme. Developed with local council support, this course offers a direct route to qualified teacher status for teachers in Portsmouth, Hampshire and West Sussex.
You can follow an apprenticeship to become a teacher of Modern Foreign Languages, Maths, English, Geography, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, or Biology. You'll need to have an unqualified teacher role in a Secondary school, or an offer of one, for the duration of your apprenticeship.
Recognition - Successful completion of this course will lead to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
