Wander down to our award-winning University Centre, where you’ll find the University book shop, Student Union, Learning Café (offering 24-hour PC access), Food Hall, Terrace Bar, The Lounge, Union Shop and The Vault – our on-site club venue. Or lose yourself in our Martial Rose Library – with 150 PC workstations, over 300,000 books and a huge array of academic journals, e-books and databases, it’s every reader’s dream. We don’t just offer academic texts. We’ve a wide range of fiction and non-fiction available, as well as newspapers and magazines to flick through and enjoy.

An onsite gym, Multimedia Centre and a beautifully restored Victorian Chapel (which won us a prestigious RIBA Award and the Civic Voice Design Awards) complement the numerous, environmentally-advanced faculty buildings on campus. In fact, all our recently renovated buildings meet the highest environmental standards, with natural ventilation, energy-efficient lighting, air source heat pumps, solar panels and a wildflower roof. Our sustainability efforts were recognised with a BQF Sustainability Future Achievement Award in 2016.

West Downs houses our Business School. It is also home to our self-catering student accommodation, multiple social learning spaces and the Link Gallery. Open to the public year-round, the Link Gallery exhibits established and emerging artists. Our centre of research administration and support services, the Research and Knowledge Exchange Centre, is close by, providing an excellent resource for postgraduate services.

Construction is currently underway on a new £50 million contemporary building which will house a 250-seat auditorium, café, food hall, library and art gallery, as well as additional social learning spaces.
